Hiya star, and welcome to PC Mech,
Do you know if this sign/pop-up is from Windows, or is it from the Internet? I would start by running AdAware and Spybot (free downloads if you don't have them). This programs clear out any Adware or Spyware that may have been picked up on your system and this junk can cause popups like the one you are seeing (asuming it's Internet). It could be getting around you blocker somehow.

I'm sure you have looked for this already but is there a check-box or something that says "do not display this message again" or something like that? If so, check the box so you won't see it again.

Let us know how it goes,
Stryker

There are a lot of websites that require Flash, and it's harmless. Just download it and let it install.

GLC is right. Many websites require the Flash Player 7 Plugin. A lot of websites have been developed with Macromedia Flash MX 2004 (which is version 7). Its not a spyware or and adware. The size of the player is just abt 1-2 mb.

Providing it's not a pop-up, yes. If it's a pop-up or adware or something, installing the software will not get rid of it. Don't know if it's something that is actually looking to see if Flash is installed or if it's just an advertisment about Flash.

Does it only appear when you visit a webpage with a flash object? If so, install it and forget it. Should disapear because it's looking for it and if it's installed you won't see the message anymore.
