Jpeg no go in "save as"

Hi Everyone

I'll try again...My problem appears to be a common one, no option to "save as" jpeg only yep you guessed it, only..bitmap and "untitled". This doesn't happen at the desk top (when I'm off line) only when I'm online... Tried all the posted stuff like: delete temp internet files and downloaded programs in int.net options also in settings increased size to 300+ meg...and ran disk cleanup nothing seems to work.
I'm NOW know about the security alerts post at both ZoneLabs and MS see MS04-028 something about buffer overrun when proceesing Jpeg stuff and I now have the latest updates for my Office 2002 stuff, but is it to late ???

This started about 2 weeks ago and I can't seem to fix it so one of two things have happened (1) I accidently changed some file association(in folder properties jpeg, jpg is run with windows picture and fax viewer)so no change there..or (2) I'm been hit by a worm and if so how to I find it or the damage it's has done and how do I fix it ???

My pc is as follows: P4 @ 2.0 G with XP-Pro/Sp2 on broard,Nvida GeForce4 MX440(driver ver 4.5.2.3) running Nortons (it's uptodate),Webroot's Spy Sweeper, and ZoneAlramPro..Office 2002 and Jasc Paint ShopPro and Jasc Paint Shop Photo Album.

Please Help

Thank you to all who HELP

Dick

Are you saying that you have no option to save as jpeg in IE only or is it in other programs too?

Still no go

GLC

That was the first thing I tried, delete the temp. int. files... still no go. All worked fine until 2 weeks ago, now I think I was wacked by a worm or some other malware file...At ZoneAlarm they posted a security alert the other day about a threat that exploists the weakness in MS stuff like XP Office 2002 (where Outlook 2002, my emailer, resides) bascially it, the worm, gets it to the Jpeg graphics processor and causes a buffer overrun, what ever that is. Now my stuff is all to date, but at that time 2 weeks ago it wasn't.

Now is possible that the above causes MS on "Save As" to think temp files are full and then defaults to file name "untitled" and file type bitmap ???? If that is true how do I find it and remove or repair the the damage it as done ???

I first ran restore to time when all was well, then I tried uninstalling and reinstall IE with no change. This is becoming very maddening and I need HELP

Dicksite, I am posting this in all your threads on the same topic, since you obviously have a lot of time on your hands. Read the advice that was posted here, and dont spam the boards with the same questions. Use one thread to post your follow-ups. People are here volunteering to help, stop aggravating them.
I am going to close down all your threads except this: Jpeg no go in "save as" (since this is the last thread you seem to have replied to), you may go look in all your other threads. As was stated before, this has nothing to do with egos; learn to be gracious about the help you receive.

I do appreciate all help and it certainly was not my intent spam anyone or this broard, so if I didn't the rules then I'll try to do better in the future and once again sorry.

I can't save SOME things as a jpeg either. just save as a bitmap then open mspaint and save as a jpeg.

DragonNOA1's picture in his signature will only save as gif or bmp. But if I go up to one of the pictures of the mobo ads here I can save as jpeg or bmp. Guess the soruce file type hs alot to do with it.
