Outlook E-mail notification sound

outlook 2003
i like the old notify sound from outlook express 6, so i have outlook to make the sound when new email arrives but it is very quiet compared to my AOL IM user logging on sound you know "youve got company or the door opening"
what i mean is that i have to have the volume turned right up to hear the notify wav from a distance but doing this means when someone logs on to AOL in buddy list it scares the crap out of everyone near by.
so how can i turn up the volume on the notify wav, so i can have the actual volume at as sensible level?

also anyone know of a good free wav,mp3,WMA converter?

Another bug is when i start the system outlook 2003 automatically starts up and send/recieves, which is fine but does not make the new mail notification sound on first run, it only happens after the first auto send/recieve 5 mins later.

Any ideas on this?

Some sound files are louder than others...Try a different one as a test and see if the problem goes away.

Look in this folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\Your User Name\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

and see if outlook is in there. If so, remove it.
