Trouble loading Office 97 on XP

I just bought a new HP with 2.8b ghz and 160 gigs of hard drive space and 512 Ram. I wanted to load my Microsoft office Prof Editiion
with Word through Access but at the end of the install it says..
"Htmlmarq.ocx was unable to register itself in the system registery. And then says it was unsuccessful and that's it. Is there compatability issues or is there something I can do? Please help!?!?!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was just told not to load Office 97 because it corrupts files great!?!?!? right after I loaded it. I tried to uninstall it but it wont uninstall what do I do?
Don't know about the others besides Access but here is the method to load Access so you have two versions going. I have XP Home and both Access 97 and Office 2003 Pro installed fine...
or am I not understanding the question?
From another forum:
Found a workaround to install office97 on an XPSP2 level machine. The workaround is to run office97 setup and uncheck the "Web Page Authoring (HTML)" in office97 setup options. It will then install fine. However of course you lose the "HTML web page authoring" option in office97.
This will require a custom setup. If it's showing in add/remove programs now and won't uninstall, do a system restore.
