Hey all, when going to whipe my hard hard drive the Windows XP Pro. disk wouldn't boot as a boot disk. I had to get boot floppies. I was wondering why this is. Secondly I went in, wiped the HDD, installed NTFS, and now it is asking me for the Service Pack 1 CD. I downloaded SP1, burnt the .exe file onto a CD, and still get the same message asking for the Service Pack 1 disk. Could someone please help me get past this problem? Thanks all for your time!

Did you have your BIOS set to boot from CD first?
Second, do I dare ask... is this a copied disk? If so, no support from these forums on the issue.

Yes I tried boot order, and its a legal disk, just from a computer class program. It was burrned, but I had to go to Microsofts site to get it. I also get the NTLDR missing error, but when I start with the boot floppies, and move on from there everything seems to work until that error.
