Windows XP Pro 64bit
Hey
Microsoft is offering a free trial (360 days) of the 64bit XP Pro platform. Is anyone using this, any restrictions, any commecnts. Should I just stick with 32 pro until 64 is officially released??? |

Personally I would stick with XP until the final version of the 64 bit version is released.

Because it's still in beta. You can use it, but it might not be wise to use it as your primary OS.

Not only that, but historically M$ beta operating systems cannot be upgraded to the final release without a reformat, and some actually are time-limited and die with no data recovery possible. If you are prepared to wipe your drive to install the final, go for it - and keep your important data backed up.

If you have a computer or resources if you want to try it out; then its a good idea - if you want something you want to stick to .. wait till its released. |
