Clone desktop to TV "Solved"
Hello all,
I have a MSI FX5900xt (Nvidia) graphics card. I have successfully cloned my desktop to the TV. Windows Media Player shows up on the TV, and will play sound ok. My problem is when I run a video clip in media player, I can hear sound on the TV, and see the media player, but the video is not seen. The same thing happens with a DVD in my computer. I can see Cyberlink DVD player on my computer and TV, but can only see the DVD film playing on the computer. Can anyone tell me where the problem lies? Thanks in advance Jack AMD 3500 64bit 1 gig ram 2 Serial drives --- raid 0 (stripe) XP with service pack 2. Last edited by jdb691rx; 12-13-2004 at 12:51 AM. |

The problem is that there is only one overlay, so you can't have the video window on both screens at the same time.
I believe the overlay is always on the primary screen, so in order to see the overlay on the TV you need to set your TV as the primary device, and your PC monitor as the secondary. RJ

I've seen the same thing on an ATI. If I recall correctly you may also want to try this; Go into you advance display options and 'toggle highlight' the screens in 'screen choser?'. (If this isn't too clear it may take up to a day for a replay for the correct title)
