Question Shut Down Problem Win 98

Win 98 shut down, won't shut down, it just hangs there. When I click the OK to shut down, it gets as far as windows is shutting down, and that's it. I have to shut it down by hitting the power botton. Everything was ok until I installed some Mobo drivers usb to usb that's when it started. any ideas as to the problem and how to fix it. Emerson
