new problems(need urgent help)
Hello
Iam getting new problems now in my computer ,I am using winxp and since last week ,Iam not able to use winxp because when ever I boot my computer, I dont get proper display and when I try to restart the computer or try to log in to my windows, the computer hangs their permanently. I have checked everything related to the display like VGA card and RAM but everything is fine. The VGA card is properly inserted into the motherboard and the display adapter is also properly connected to the VGA card even the RAM is properly inserted into the motherboard but still Iam getting strange and hap hezard display before the hanging of computer . Sometimes after hanging ,I get the error messege on a blue screen ( I dont remember exactly what it said) stating something like this: You are getting this error messege probably because your hardware and software program is not properly installed. Before I started getting these error messeges and problems, no such hardware or software program was incompletely installed and neither their was any hardware conflict. Next problem popped up, my computer was not detecting my CD-ROM ,well I have solved this problem by changing the data cable, after changing the data cable, my computer detected the CD-ROM but its tray is not comming out when I press the eject button. I wonder what is going on..... Am I getting these problems because of windowsxp?I never had such problems before when I had windows 98. I hope any one could help me out. |

Try disconnecting the optical drives and see if that helps.
If the computer runs normally with the opticals disconnected, the CD-ROM drive may have died or is defective. I've seen defective CD-ROM drives hang a computer during boot up. Cricket

Cricket thanks for your advise ,by the way what is optical drives?
I have figured out the problem ,I took my computer to my Dadd's office and have seen that actually it was the VGA card which was creating a display problem, their is something wrong with it.The CD-ROM is working fine now, I wonder what was wrong with it when I had my computer at home? Anyways thanks once again Regards, |
