Disabling Start-up Items In Win 2000

How do you stop items from starting if win 2000 doesn't have msconfig?

The easy way would be to obtain a copy of msconfig from a trusted XP box and use that, otherwise the keys/values are buried in the Registry.

I haven't personally tried this, but I've heard others say it works. A way to download and install msconfig on Win2K.

All I did was copy msconfig.exe off an XP box and dropped it into c:\winnt - works as advertised. Sneakernetted it with a floppy.

I downloaded it to my c:\winnt\system32 and it works. Now I can open it up just like in XP. Thanks all for the help...
