christmas helpers needed guys
Hi guys,
I have a major problem, i've put together a system for my bother for christmas but when i turn it on it says error. It is a old hdd that has or had win me on it. i want to format it but dont no how as the screen is frozzen with error and c: prompt. the keyborad lights flash. I have a nt bootable cds and a 98 bootable, i can't press where they say boot from disk option 2 as the keyborad is all flashing>??> ![]() Is there anyway i can format the hdd, for this point. i have heard about formating disks but dont know where i can get one. I dont have an winME disk to repair the window install. I cant access the bios either as its from old parts ands has a password on it to. |

first thing
what is the error that is displayed on the screen you can remove the coms settings by removing the battery. you should be able to boot with the w98 boot floppy to format the hard drive. |

popped the battery out to reset bios, dos worked again from them, just did the dos format command then!!"!!
