fqpissed IE6 new windows problems?

I am running WIndows XP SP1, just noticed the other day that when i clickon a link on a web page that opens a new IE window, the page doesnt load. I can load IE browser with no trouble and load pages but if i click on a link that forces a new page it sits there blank. If i slect the "copy link" option from the R/C menu and paste into a new IE6 browser it works, anyone seen this before and how to fix it?

I just updated to SP2 and droppep all the interim updates as well onto the system, same problem. I have shut off the pop up blocker and have no F/W installed now. Also minimised all the stuff in the notification area like A.V etc.

??????????????
