Lost Atl+Print Scrn function

I take a lot of screen shots and have always liked how you can use the Alt+Print Scrn key combo to capture just the window that has focus instead of the whole screen. Saves from having to crop out the unwanted portion.

But, for whatever reason, Alt+Print Scrn is no longer working!??! (regular Print Scrn works just fine)

Any ideas on how to fix that??

TIA

PS: running Win XP Pro SP1

Wow that is odd...does it only do it with some apps or all that you have tried?

Odd for sure! It happens no matter what is open. Using the Alt key has no effect on what's in the clipboard, if that helps. And there is no problem with the Alt key by itself.

Same effect on my USB keyboard, but I mainly use the MS keyboard (it's either the Web version or Multimedia version, it doesn't say on the keybrd).

PS: I'm going to be down for a while, gotta add a new drive to replace C drive and a few other updates and the like )

Do you have dual monitors hooked up. Seems like I recall that being an issue. (i used to always get both screens)

No, just a single monitor, but I am running an ATI AIW 9800 Pro if that means anything.

I didn't hook up my USB keybrd after working on the system, and no difference.

Any other ideas?

Well, I've got a clue but not a fix yet. I disabled the USB keybrd .exe in Task Manager, and then Alt-PrntScrn worked on the PS/2 keybrd. So I D/L's and installed the latest drivers for my Zboard. No difference, but now if I use the Task Manager to disable the driver, the PS/2 keybrd still doesn't work... I've emailed Zboard's tech support....

Update

Hi All,

I've been in (farily) constant contact with Zboard's tech support. We've tried several things including different / newer drivers. The latest-n-greatest driver set is v4.74, which I just installed.

I'm pleased to report that the problem is now fixed!
