How to reinstall cab files

Hi there, i have too many problems with Win98 Se due to worms and viruses etc. is there a way to restore the cab files and the registry? I need some help with this please.

cab. files really don't get installed, files that are in the cab files get extracted and then installed.
you can copy the cab. files from the cd to a folder on the harddrive, and use the extract command to extract the files you need, but that will do you no goog unless you know which files you need.

if the system is really that messed up, you may need to resort to saving all you can, and do a complete reinstall, it may be your best method to really clean things up, but only as a last resort.

run AVG, spybot, and adaware first to see if it will get most of the problems, clean the restgry too, and delete all the temp files and cookies, and see what you got then.
