Reformatting issue
my friend is having an issue with reformatting his computer...
He had windows 2000 on his computer, then he tried to reformat to XP... in the process he somehow did something where he had the option of starting up to XP or 2000. When he went back and tried to reformat (again?) it said something along the lines of "windows cannot complete action because temporary files *something something* are in partition" I think what he wants to do is scrap everything and go fresh. any ideas to help? thanks --sheeepy (btw im trying to get the info from him from his phone so its alittle difficult, but i can always try and get clearer stuff) Last edited by rabidsheeep; 12-28-2004 at 11:13 PM. |

Download the diagnostic utility from the hard drive manufacturer and write zeros to the drive. This will restore it to factory unpartitioned condition.
