I want to reformat my hardrive to clean it out. Im using a guide to do so and it tells me to open the recovery console. The recover console ask for the administrator password, which i never set up so i pressed enter and it said password invalid. If you just want to reformat and not worry about the data then boot from your XP CD and delete the windows partition, recreate partition, reformat and reload XP. this gives you the opportunity to split your harddrive into manageable partitions.
