ntldr missing problem
just installed a new motherboard in my computer..
it recognzies all of my devices, and i am trying to boot of the hard drive that has xp pro on it. It boots off the hard drive.. but once it gets past the BIOS startup, it says ntldr missing... so windows will not load. I tried copying over the file from the XP disc in windows recovery.. and that will not seem to work either.. any ideas?? thanks |

If you receive the "NTLDR is missing" message, boot to a Windows XP CD, then press "R" to enter the Recovery Console. Copy X:i386NTLDR & X:NTDETECT.COM (Where X is your CD drive) to C:
