What version of windows?
I have used windows 98se forever, but I am planing a new build, and wonder if I should upgrade to xp.
If xp is the way to go,what version will work best for home use?I really have no clue when it comes to xp. Can I buy an updated version out of the box?(meaning, will it have the service pack updates) Thanks in advance for some help..... Last edited by grandp95; 01-02-2005 at 12:40 AM. |

IMO if you're building a new computer, go for XP Home. You can buy it w/SP2 on the disc.

Windows XP Home is the version you want to go with. You can get a CD with XP Home SP2 (latest Service Pack included) OEM on www.newegg.com.
Just install it and go online for the latest updates.
