Need Help with Windows XP system

Hello all,

I format my hard drive with friend's help after someone told me I got hacker on my pc that he/she is watching what I do on it with virus he sent me.

Anyway, I format the hard drive to reinstall everything but when I was formating with friend's direction, it didn't let me to format windows xp by giving me error 'can't do this action'.

But then start formating and reinstall the windows again but now my computer opens with black screen to ask me 2 choice to chose between same windows operation system. They are both Windows XP home edition.

One on the top is new one that I install but bottom one doesn't even works when I click on it to run my pc with it. It is totally useless but still on the list like my pc is running with 2 same operation system.

Maybe that is why it cause me to type very slow with my keyboard because I don't have much on my pc right now but my internet slow down and when I type, sometimes it freeze for seconds.

Anyone out there to solve this problem to get rid of my second windows xp operation system from my puter or tell me how to format my pc to start everything from fresh without having another windows xp operation system on my pc?
