after installing Sp2 wont boot into windows

i just put together a brand new computer together installed windows and all new driver updates and so on. when i installed sp2 it would install then after being installed it. i reboot it like it asks to. when it reboots it cant get back into windows. i try rebooting over and over and it cant get into windows so i have to go in safe mode to uninstall it and then everything works. i dont no whats wrong if anyone can help, it would be great

Even tho it's "brand new", have you been on the internet with it yet? Do you have an updated AV program running? Here's some steps I use before installing SP2. Run Adaware and Spybot, run a system scan with an updated Antivirus program (I use AVG 7.0 free on all mine), defrag the hard drive. Shut down all running programs before booting to the SP2 disk or installing the download. Probably done over 20 machines this way and only had one with issues.

i have logged on the internet and have use three different spybot and adware programs and used a anitvirus program ill try do what you say and hope it works

Just wondering whether you were able to fix it or not. If so, how did you do it?
