Streamlining XP Disc with Firefox
How can I do this? I have an XP Disc w/ SP1 disc and WinISO, so I can edit the ISO file, but what would I have to do completely remove Internet Explorer and have it install Firefox at OS installation?

afaik, you cannot completely remove internet explorer. this is because parts of the ie core are needed for other things in windows (can't remember which things sorry.)
however, you can remove a good chunk of it. i used a program called nlite (get it here ). very easy to use, allows you to integrate security fixes. i think that you could add firefox in the "oem" folder and then edit the install ini to install it, but i'm not entirely sure... otherwise, a firstrun batch installer file would work. I'm a newb at slipstreaming, there is better info out there i am sure lol. |

As far as I know, WinISO is not for slipstreaming.
nLite is the program to use. You can slipstream service packs, and anything you want. But don't remove IE, I don't understand why people insist on it. It's an integrated part of the OS, if you try to remove it you're asking for trouble. I don't know if it's possible, but don't cause yourself problems. If you hate it so, just ignore it. |

No IE, no Windows updates. As said, don't remove it, just ignore it.
