Trouble installing windows 2000pro

Any ideas would be great. I'm installing 2000pro on a P3 600 older intel MB not sure which one. Integrated graphics and sound, 3com 10/100. when it gotes to installing devices about half way thru. The screen goes black then pops up full of comma's then locks up. I've replaced the memory didn't make any difference any idea's would be great

You need to find out the exact motherboard model and download the latest bios for it. You also need to make sure the integrated components are compatible with Win2K and you cannot be overclocking anything during the install.

There's a possiblity the integrated graphics is defective if you are getting these symptoms and the system ram has been replaced with known good tested ram.
