Laggy Mouse in Gaming - Hardware Acceleration
After I did a reinstall of windows, I had a problem with losing control of my mouse and keyboard in games. I was suggested to disable sound acceleration, which worked, but is there a more permanent solution?

Do you have a mouse and keyboard that came with drivers to install? Or does Win XP install them for you?
Either way try this... Right Click My Compuer --> Click Properties --> Click Hardware Tab --> Click Device Manager Button Now look for the + sign next to your Keyboard and Mouse and open them up. Check properties for each piece and troubleshoot first. If you get no answers I would suggest uninstalling the drivers and reinstall them. If you do not have the software with the drivers on it Win XP with find the devices and install them for you once they are detected. I am unsure whether you need to reboot once they are unistalled.

I like to turn it back on when I'm done gaming.
I use the default drivers. |
