Assigned Drive Letters For XP/2000
How come when I installed 2000 it installed it on the D drive, then when I installed XP Pro in recognized 2000 as C drive, during formating my other drive so it assigned it as D as well.
Now that both are installed, when going into my computer and clicking on the drive for 2000 it shows itself as D and XP as C. If I boot to XP and go to my computer, it shows itself as D and 2000 as C. This should not cause a problem during future install of software, should it??

If you do not change the install path of some software if might install itself to C:\Program Files, but they will continue to operate normally. I believe in the Drives options you can change the drive letter.

I tried for the heck of it, but it windows won't allow it for 2000, but could change XP, but not to C.. As long as things work ok guess I will leave well enough alone...
