XP pro BSOD reboot
Turn on my XP pro pc and it says
Sec slave drive incompatible... I dont have a salve on the sec ide channel so i hit f1 to boot any ways and it goes to windows splash screen does a bsod real fast and restarts. So I try it again and same thing I try safe mode, same thing, Tried to do a restore to a diff time and same thing. am I hosed? Granted I dont have the CD cause the school bought us all a single user copy of XP so I cant reformat and install.. |

What is the master drive on the secondary cable? Are you sure you don't have it on the middle connector of a cable select cable jumpered to master? That would be the slave connector.

iv never replaced the cable.
sec master should be the HD.. or maybe the HD is primary master. but then my cd burner is its sec/primary master on its own channel |
