Search Toolbar
When you go to Start, Search, and the tool bar that is on the left hand side is there, but there is know text or field to put in you search?
I have ran virus cheacks, ext, and tried to get it back. Any Ideas? I Don't want to have a to do a system restore. |

Once you make a screenshot click on the Post Reply link or QUOTE link, scroll down and you should see a section on : Attach Files .. click the manage attachments button, and then upload your screenshot.

What version of XP are you using? That is honestly the first time I've ever seen it; have you tried clicking on the search companion and checking to see if it pops up a balloon? tried to see if any of the options work? Like turning it off?
I would suggest starting at the basics, like doing a scan for spyware and/or any virus? If you dont find any virus try using an account with admin priveleges to see if there is anything that restricts file searches. |

I did system restore and it fixed it.

So now all you need to look into is what you installed since the last date of the restore file. If you do arrive at it, please do share - would help others.
