Uninstalling XP from dual boot

My friend just installed XP as a dual boot with his windows 2000 as well...but he "wasnt sure about a few settings" during the install, so he wants to take XP off then have someoen else put it back on for him. How would he do this?? Basically he just wants to uninstall the XP and leave everything else as it is....im assuming that he did this on a partition--he said the two are on seperate "volumes" but doesnt know anything else regarding this....im not good with this kinda stuf but could he just remove/delete the partition somehow? thanks.

Hello

Well I think that's what he means, he wants to reinstall windowsxp and keep windows2000, to reinstall , just try to boot from windowsxp CD and follow the instruction , it will ask you whether you want to repair the windows or want to install it, just chose the option "install" and then it will ask you whether you want to install it or reinstall it, chose reinstall and follow the instructions.
You will be able to keep your windows2000 without any problem.

Try this suggestion, because I dont think their is any alternative method for the reinstallation of windowsxp ,if you face any other problem, write back.

Regards,
