Moving program files
How do I go about moving the Program Files folder to a secondary drive in Win2000 and XP?

Uninstall the programs from their current location and reinstall them to the current drive. I don't think it's otherwise possible just to move them around; the registry keys and file associations might cause all kinds of problems if you just move the programs around.

I just installed a new SATA drive, and installed a game to a "Programs" folder that I created. It doesn't run any different that if it was in my Windows located drive. During installation, just browse for the location you want your programs to be installed in.
