Windows Media Player Not Working!?!

When I attempt to start Windows Media Player its says: Windows Media Players is Not Installed Properly, Restart Your Computer and Log on With A User Account That Allows You To Install Programs.

The thing is, I only have one user account on my computer, I have restarted the machine quite a few times and still nothing. The only thing I did was run Windows Update which installed Service Pack 2 and a few other updates. I have updated on other machines and never had this problem and am at a loss for what to do. Thanks in advance for your help.

Did you download the latest version recently (ver. 10)? Find the folder where you downloaded it then reinstall it.
