winXP rebooting
Every once in awhile, like once or twice a week when I'm on my computer, playing Nascar Thunder 2004 my computer will just reboot on its own, like I hit the reset button (very fast and sudden)
I have it unchecked to reboot after system failur in 'startup & recovory' and it writes a save dump, but I have no clue what it means, looks more like wingdings to me I checked out the event viewer and this is what it said: The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x1000000a (0x3ef07686, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x804fea07). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini012005-01.dmp. |

While this might not give you the answer to your issue right away it may help in finding the source, go to your system properties and und the advanced tab go to "Startup an Recovery" and uncheck the "Automaticlly Restart" in the event of system failure. This should give you a BSOD the next time the system is unstable with a little better error message. Once you have the error message post it or google it. My bet is it's prolly either a driver or memory issue.

It is already unchecked
hmm video card, I do get a blue screen, but only for less than half a second its all one solid blue color, theres no gibberish Its only ever happend to me when I'm playing the game and using teamspeak, and in the game its' happend when I was just sitting in the lobby in multiplayer. I have a dual boot setup, both are winXP on the same drive, if it happens there than I would I think you would be right glc, I kinda hope not, but maybe it would explain why one time for some reason when I turned my pc on, it said check to see that power is hooked to the video card, I didnt even open the case, I have a see through window I just looked in there and seen power was still connected checked the cables and turned it back on, never since did that again. The card is not very old, its a Saphire Radeon 9800 pro, Every question that I've posted here that you've replyed to you've been pretty much right on the money. but theres a first time for everything
