I think it's about a gig and a half, and it grows fast when you install stuff. My minimum recommended hard drive size for XP is 10 gigs.

Right after a clean install of WinXP Home I saw 1.7GB of used HDD space. This was for WinXP Home without any service packs, not the more recent WinXP Home CD w/SP2.

WinXp Size
The size of WinXP is depends on what size has been allocated by the virtual memory on my WinXP it recomends 766 megs of hard drive space on my WinXP so with the WinXP and the software installed my WinXP shows a size of 2 gigs so to start it. really depends on the virtual memory used you can also increase the amount vitual memory over the recomended amount
it may also increase performance. |
