No bootable device selected??????

My brother is trying to install winxp on an older laptop. He used some program that supposedly totally wipes the hard drive clean. After it finished he restarted pc with winxp cd in and got the message "No bootable device(s) selected strike F1 to retry boot, F2 for setup utility". I had him go into bios and change the boot sequence to start cd-rom first but it didnt work. Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks

If the laptop won't boot from CD, you probably need a boot disk. Head on over to bootdisk.com and get the appropriate one, it will boot off the disk and then allow you to install from the CD.
