Pissed Windows XP File Sharing (Subdirectory problem)

I have a folder that I want to share on my computer plus all subdirectories on my local network. This folder has about 100 folders plus files. I have access to this folder and I can se all the files the main folder has but there are about 20 folders that I cant have access to, when I try to access it, I get an error message saying I don’t have privileges.

When I share the main folder shouldn’t changes affect subdirectories as well? Why do you think its not affecting some of the folders?

I have tried making a new share and moving files there but I still have access to everything except these few folders.

Any ideas?

Yes, the sharing privldeges affect all the subfolders, unless they are password protected, and I *think* encrypted and compressed. If you are using a different O/S to browse (ie 9x systems), folder/file names may be a problem.

If the attributes mark the subfolders as read-only, there will be no write privledges unless unchecked, or checked then unchecked on the main folder.
