Can't delete files
I am trying to get rid of the contents of C:/Program Files/MSN Gaming Zone/Windows but it won't let me. When I delete or move the files, they disappear for a moment, then reappear back in the original folder. When I try to delete the folder, I get a message that tells me 'Cannot delete: It is being used by another person or program'.
How do I get this stuff off my hard drive? Curse you, Bill Gates! |

Have you tried to remove MSN Gaming Zone through Add/Remove programs? I have heard that a program called Move On Reboot can delete files before they are run, but I have never tried it, and there might be negative side effects if the program is not properly uninstalled.

MSN Gaming Zone is not a program, it's a website from which games may be downloaded.
I thought I might be able to delete the stuff if I could reboot in DOS mode, but I can't see a way to do that in XP. Is there one? |

Try safe mode.

If safe mode does not work (though it should), download MoveOnBoot (google it). It will delete the file at your next boot, before it has the chance to get "in use"

Or you could find and delete it with:
regedit or msconfig Then when your system boots it wont boot with that file running, and oyu can get rid of it. |
