Lasted a couple of days, then returned to normal?

My name is alex, and my computer was acting different for a couple of days (not neessarilly bad) but anywat like wen u press ctrl alt del, it normally comes up with the task manager, but indted it came up with a different screen, mentioning chinging passwords and stuff?? and i was asked to log on wich i set it not to do a wile ago??

Then the next day, all was normal?!

i run xp home with sp2 and ff, i recently installed .net framework or something and its the only big thing i can remember doing lately. I am just asking for curiosities sake i spose. Any reasons would be appreciated,

When you installed .net framework, it added a user.
