Xp/linux 9.2 issues
First, I am a casual user, sucked into Linux by a well written article, BIG PROBLEM!! I have downloaded and installed Linux on my notebook, discovered that it does not support my wireless card, and want to restore XP. I cannot find any info on doing this and when I put in the XP disc that came with my notebook it wants to reinstall XP not restore it. Before you say it.... I KNOW, I shouldn't have jumped into this, but I have and now I am stuck! Can Anyone help???

Welcome to PCMech, geoffc
![]() Are you dual booting, or did you wipe the drive before you installed linux? Did you try booting from the restore CD? Make sure the CDROM is selected as a boot device in the BIOS.

re:...
I thought Linux was supposed to have set a partition for itself so as to preserve XP, but it never asked about that during setup and I can't find another partition. I am not well versed in this at all, so I may not be looking in the right place or at the right thing.
