cannot change Paging File size in XP SP2

For some reason after installing SP2 i can no longer change the paging file size. And the only 2 times i could were when i entered "3000-4015" and "4000-4015." But then after restarting the pc the paging file size changed back again to 766mb. How do i fix this problem? Thanx.

yes, and i shut off my ZoneAlarmSuite and unchecked it from start-up (some say that anti-virus programs prevent paging file change).

It's similar. But I've disabled ZoneAlarm Suite completely--it's not even loaded when windows starts. And when i made the changes to the paging file size ZoneAlarm was still not loaded. So i did everything without Zonealarm present. And i use no other anti-virus program. But thanx tho.

Just a thought. In changing the page file you may risk some serious problems. I have no idea why with doing so with some its fine and others it turns there computer to garbage. I have seen others claim it speeds things up. Personally myself I have not seen those results and would question it makes things faster. Its just my humble opinion to leave it alone. Not worth crashing your computer. Just my 2 cents. Have a nice day.
