Device Manger Empty

The girlfriend got a hold of the computer and "tried" to install a printer. The result, the device manger is now completly empty. Nothing is showing up. Although the computer is still working, starts up, wireless card still works(sorta). The add hardware wizard is not showing up.

Moral of the story: Do not let your girlfriend touch your computer

Anyone got any ideas as to what happened?

Do you have Plug and Play enabled on your system? Go to START > RUN and type services.msc. Double click on the service named Plug and Play.
Change the startup type to Manual or Automatic. Reboot your computer and check to see if your Device manager is working.
