vnetbios error in me

Hi
Ive just started getting the following windows ME error message when i boot up
An exception OE has occurred at 0028:C00610cd in VxD VNETBIOS(01) + 00000B8D. This was called from 0028:C023F58B in VxD VMM(0C) + 0000058B. It may be possible to continue normally."

the pc then crashes, i can start in safe mode but system restore just crashes the pc again.

anybody got a fix

The only article I can find is for Win95 and it relates to the Novell Netware client. If you are not logging into a Novell network, and have the Client for Netware installed in your network properties, remove it. Otherwise, please tell us what kind of networking you are doing (how you are connected to the Internet, etc.) and what components are shown in your network properties.
