How to install windowsxp on a computer with windows98 on it

I only have 2 drives in my computer Hard Disk, C: and D:, windows98 is installed on C: and I want to install windowsXP on D:.

I dont think their would be any problem If I install windowsxp on my computer with windows98 already installed on it.

I'll make a backup of all the data in C: and insert WindowsXP CD in the computer and follow the instruction to install windowsxp on D:

Is this all I have to do ,or their are other important things that I have to do?

Please advise me

Regards,

Ok, but is their any way I could add more drives in my Hard Disk because I need 2 other drives inorder to keep my personal data there?
That can only happen If I format my entire Hard Disk and make partitions in it ,right?
Is their any easy and straight forward method to add more drives in my Hard Disk without going through the process of formating and partitioning?

Regards,

With the size of drives these days why buy more drives? one additional large drive for personal data should do fine. Thing to remember is that when formatting the new drive fat32 can be read by both OS but NTFS can only be read by XP.
