Windows Me start's up in safe mode

My g/f's moms hewlett packard is starting up in safe mode and give's a rundll32 error.
How can I fix this?

First thing, as it is running ME you have system restore available to you, go to programs>accessories and click system tools then click system restore and select a restore point back to before this problem started.

. . . Hopefully, the System Restore will fix things. If it doesn't, see if you can copy down the exact wording of the Rundll32 error and post it here.

rundll has caused an error in MMSYSTEM.DLL.
