Want to Upgrade from XP Home to XP Pro -- any problems?

I need to upgrade to XP Pro on a machine that is running XP Home, and I really don't want to install 2 OS's or lose all my files.

I upgraded a Win OS once before and it was always screwy. My question is, does anyone know if an upgrade from XP Home to Pro will work as well, or nearly as well, as a clean installation of XP Pro?

Most people don't recommend an upgrade, particularly from an older OS. But I would go ahead and upgrade to XP pro, consinding you have XP home already. Just don't format :-p. If things seem to be up to speed stick with it, if not; back up and do a clean install
