Windows XP x64 - New OS already?

What do you guys know about this. Is this only a real improvement for seriously high end programmers and editors? I am using AMD 64 but I just do a lot of gaming. I'm trying to get into sound editing. I'm wondering if I should jump onto the trial. I'm just curious what you ppl know.

It's free and it's BETA so be carefull.

From what little I know, there are only two games that can take advantage of 64bit.

If you jump into the trial, you must be prepared to wipe your drive to get rid of it later. Keep any important files backed up.
