Has anyone had problems using tsshutdn?
Hi All,
We have a bunch of Windows 2000/2003 TS servers at remote sites where they reboot nightly. Occassionally these TS's (not all at once) would fail to reboot where sometimes prevent users from logging onto the TS. The command used is "tsshutdn /REBOOT" under Task Scheduler where the task is set to execute by the Administrator. The only messages that I could get out of EV was the following: Date: 1/30/05 Time: 4:04AM Source: Service ControlMgr Type: Error EventID:7026 The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load: i8042prt Source:User32 Type: Warning EventID: 1073 The attempt by user NT Authority\system to restart/shutdown computer TS01 failed. Would it be better to have the Task Scheduler to execute a batch file with the tsshutdn command and explicitly stating the parameters (wait_time, server & delay) or to use the shutdown command instead? Thx |
