Can't unwise >>>>>>>>>WHY??
I have a program that I downloaded but cannot get rid of it now that I want to.
I get the error shown bellow in ATTACHMENT. Any idea how to get rid of it??? ------- In the past I have just deleted the folder with all the files in it and used Registry Crawler program to get the rest. Is that OK? And does that remove all details of the program? Thank you Last edited by john ranger; 06-17-2008 at 09:53 AM. |

Did you first uninstall the program? Or did you first delete the folder?

Reinstall it, then uninstall it.

tried that but it did not work. I ended up deleting everything in the program folder and then looking for all leftover files in Registry Crawler. I ask again, is that completely cleaned out now? I don't know. thanks |

Thats very hard to say for sure...some (pesty) programs (event though uninstalled) leaves files scattered all over the place (Norton System works comes to mind), and in the case of Norton, I uninstalled it, as well as DL'ing a removal tool from Symantic, and still found files left over two years latter.
Perhaps doing a search on the program name would reveal some leftover files, then manually delete them. Last edited by bozo; 02-10-2005 at 09:13 PM. |
