Shutdown at startup problem
hello, working with a DELL - WME,
When I power the computer on, it opens to the black screen with 4 options. 1,2,3(safe Mode) 4:step by step I believe. No matter which selection is made (even Safe mode) will go briefly to the next step and power back off. ANy Ideas? The computer was reformatted in Dec. and has been working fine since. |

What are the complete system specs?
Was anything installed on that system just before the problem started? Hardware or software. Are all the fans in the system working? Cricket

A faulty ram module can cause that too.
Dells have passive heatsinks with a plastic duct to the rear case fan. Pull the duct and blow all the dust out of the heatsink fins. |
