Reinstall Dell 2400

XP just went crazy, no services running.
Customer oks install after backup of files.
At the point where you choose what partition to install on there are
three. I see the old NT partition and the small unpartitioned thing but
i don't know what to do about the small Fat32 partition that is there.
Should I leave it or zap them all and let XP make one partition.
Is that a bios partition? The thing that seemed unusual to me about the
fat32 partition is that the beginning of the line starts with a dash " - "
then c and fat32.
what should i do on this dell? zap, ignore, what?
i have all the dell cds.
thanks
alan

The small hidden partition contain Dell Diagnostic tools. I'd leave it. The same info can be found on the diagnostic cd.

Ive seen what your talking about.. Ive reformated a Dimension 2400 machine about 4 times now so Ive seen it my self. Its a very small amount of space on your drive. You can even see it when you access computer management.
