XP Home - option to share greyed out?

I have a home LAN of two computers (both XP Home). On one of them, I have no problem in right clickling -> sharing & security on folders/drives. On the other, however, no matter what drive/folder I try to share, the checkboxes "share this folder on the network" and "allow users to change my files" are greyed out (i.e. unclickable). As a result, one computer can fileshare off the other, but not vice versa.

I am logged under the same name on both computers (the admin, there are no other accounts on either machine) and I've tried this with SP1 and SP2. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance, JTH

Just an idea but make sure you right click on whatever folders you want to share and select properties, at the bottom of the properties list should be Hidden and Read-only.
Make sure none of those are checked.
