I am moving files between hd. Around 200mb. One thing I notice the time to move the file is very quickly. 10 seconds to move the file. Then when I press F5, the files are back there in the same drive. When I click the files which are presumbly been moved to the desired location, get the message the files are in use. I am not sure what is wrong. Moving from a 40gb partition of a 120gb Seagate baracudda 5 (IDE) to a 200gb WD SATA hd.

Don't move - copy. Moving eats up ram and pagefile big time and it will choke on a big file.
