boot up error message in Win98SE

I just redid a CPU for someone and re-installed Win98SE, now when it boots up it goes to this screen that reads "Cannot find a device file that may be needed to run windows or a windows application.

the windows registry or SYSTEM.INI file refers to this device file, but the device no longer exist.

if you deleted this file on purpose.......etc....

vredir.vxd

then it does it again for....
dfs.vxd

then again after it boots and starts windows...... this one says "Unable to load the Dynamic link library.

msnp32.dll......

how can I resolve this /??????????????????

Go into control panel, networks, and remove all components. Then go into add/remove programs, Windows setup, communications, and remove dialup networking. Reboot, then install your modem and/or NIC drivers. Then reboot, open the Run box, and type INETWIZ. Follow the instructions as applicable. You WILL need the Windows CD in the drive if you didn't put the cab files on the hard drive.
